Morning
Breakfast
Morning meal at the hotel before the day opens up.
11AM–5PM
Free TimeTBD
The afternoon is currently TBD, but expect this to be a low key day. Will solidify plans as we get closer. Ideas: explore Downtown Napa for boutiques and galleries, book a treatment at a local spa, relax at the property, or ride the legendary Napa Valley Wine Train through the valley.
7:30 PM
Dinner at The French Laundry Optional
The centerpiece of the weekend. The French Laundry — Thomas Keller's three-Michelin-star landmark in Yountville. One of the most celebrated dining experiences in the world. This will be an expensive dinner at $600 per person in the private dining room, so please consider this optional. We will need to know who wants to attend ~2.5 months before the trip, as it is pre-paid. Alternative dining options TBD if you want to skip this.

One last morning together before heading home.

Morning
Farewell Brunch
A final meal together — good food, good conversation, and a proper send-off. Location TBD.
12:00 PM

Getting There

Travel Details

Nearest Airports
SFO — San Francisco International
~1 hour drive to Napa

OAK — Oakland International
~1 hour drive to Napa

STS — Charles M. Schulz (Santa Rosa)
~45 min drive to Napa

SFO and OAK offer the most flight options and rental car availability.
🚗
Getting to the Hotel
A rental car is the most flexible option — pick up at the airport and drive directly to the R Inn.

Rideshare (Uber/Lyft) from SFO or OAK runs roughly $80–120 one-way.

Carpooling is encouraged — once we get a little closer and know when everyone is arriving, we can see about a group carpool down from SFO/OAK.
🍷
Getting Around Napa
Wine tasting and driving don't mix. For the winery day, we'll arrange a private shuttle so everyone can enjoy the tastings.

The Napa Valley Wine Trolley and local car services are also excellent for independent exploring.
🧳
What to Pack
November in Napa means cool mornings, mild afternoons — plan on 50–65°F and bring layers.

Comfortable walking shoes for winery visits, and at least one elevated outfit for The French Laundry on Saturday night.

Leave room in your bag for wine.
